This slide presentation outlines a program to help small water systems achieve technical, managerial, and financial (TMF) capacity. The primary goals of the TMF program include: eliminate TMF capacity weaknesses to consistently deliversafe drinking water, and tohelp systems become self-sufficient. TMF Assistance methodology is outlined, along with common issues that the TMF methodology has helped address such as: inadequate staffing to achieve capacity; limited financial resources; limited planning; minimal asset management, maintenancetracking, O and,not understanding new regulatory requirements. A case study of the town of Sedgwick, Colorado is presented that includes: summary of TMF Capacity Deficiencies; example TMF Assistance Recommendations; example training summary; typical training process for small water systems; capacity improvement schedule; example progress tracking tool; and, key success factors in achieving TMF capacity.
