This slide presentation outlines a water conservation and development program in Texas called the LCRA-SAWS Water Project that consists of two areas in Texas, the south central region and the lower Colorado region, coming together to deal with the problem they both had with water shortfall. The LCRA-SAWS Water Project is described, including challenges such as: HB1629 requirements; public outreach in lower Colorado RiverBasin and San Antonio; science review panel; permitting requirements; river habitat and Blue Sucker issues; and, Matagorda Bay Health framework components.
