Full Description

Flow cytometry was compared to immunomagnetic separation (IMS) for the isolation of Cryptosporidium oocysts and Giardia cysts from 50 river water samples. In this study we found that the IMS procedure isolated both Cryptosporidium oocysts and Giardia cysts from a significantly greater number of samples than flow cytometry.
