Full Description

This paper describes how the Innovative Conservation Education project offersa unique opportunity for not only students from the Town of Portland but also from other towns, to get directly involved with local government. It teaches the students of issues facing communities such as: ongoing diversion permitting process and upcoming interconnection. It allows students a hands-on experience to understand water supply needs, solutions and an awareness of how the process can be political.
