The ASHRAE Innovative Research Grant (IRG) was established in 2011 to provide seed funding for novel research deemed to have the potential to significantly advance the state-of-the-art in HVACR engineering. The idea is to encourage out-of-the-box research to complement the research proposed and guided by technical committees. This session provides an update on the results from the first two and only grants awarded from the program and RAC's plans for this program in the future.
