The authors studied twenty-two HVACduct system case histories to improve the industrys understanding of ductrumble. They concluded that duct rumble is a physical phenomenon that occurs fora combination of reasons, including airflow turbulence caused by duct fittingswith poor aerodynamics. Practical methods to reduce duct rumble are alsoexamined.
