Development of turbulence kinetic energy (TKE) in straight, flat-oval ducts exhibiting various entrance duct geometries is the focus of this article. Numerical analysis was performed by solving the Reynolds-averaged Navier- Stokes equations using a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software package. The results showed that, based on TKE, the flow was not fully developed up to 20 hydraulic diameters (Dh ) .
