The Leander Independent School District (LISD) in Texas maintains 36 buildings that use ground source heat pump (GSHP) technology and garnered an average 2010 ENERGY STAR rating of 97. This article discusses using GSHP technology from the perspectives of the design engineers, ground loop contractors, general contractors, and architects involved in the systems, which have been installed on a fast-paced construction schedule.
