Full Description

With the increasing amount of sustainable construction, more efforts are being made to control the contaminants that can be generated on-site. These efforts include a rigorous process for selecting building materials, pathway control of potential IAQ contaminants, and daily housekeeping measures to reduce and remove construction dust and debris as it is generated. In addition, daily, if not more frequent, housekeeping of the site is being done to clean up any waste and debris generated. This column discusses the impact of preventing IAQ problems by using good practices during construction.
