ASHRAE/USGBC/IES Standard 189.1, Standard for the Design of High-Performance, Green Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings, has been fine-tuned to specify greater energy savings and other changes as green building technologies evolve. The newest set of the Advance Energy Design Guides now boasts saving 50% energy improvement over that specified by ANSI/ASHRAE/IES Standard 90.1-2004, Energy Standard for Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings.
