Full Description

This article describes the current EnergyPlus VFD efficiency component model and presents performance data collected from manufacturers in 2010 to create a VFD efficiency database. The authors describe the various formats manufacturers used to present their data, the variations in manufacturer test procedures, and the impacts of VFD size and configuration, and show that there is a need for standardized data.
