Full Description

Designers had to double the capacity of an 80,000 ton (281 360 kW) chilled water plant in less than half the space of the existing plant. The authors say this was achieved by a strong focus on the configuration and arrangement of components. They also were successful in reducing the electricity consumption by 2.4 MW every hour of operation, a 12.7% energy reduction that saved more than $1 million in the first year.
