This article provides an overview of two common controldevices in closed loop hydronic systems: expansion tanks and valves. Expansiontanks manage expansion as water temperature increases and control systempressure. Valves serve everything from the basic function of turning on or offwater flow, to much more complex functions of diverting, mixing, or modulatingflow.
