The 2015 version of ANSI/AMCA Standard 230, Laboratory Methods of Testing AirCirculating Fans for Rating and Certification, will include for the firsttime performance testing requirements for high-volume, large-diameter (HVLD) circulatingfans. This article explores the standards new means for determining andexpressing ceiling fan efficiency and efficacy for standard and HVLD fans.
