Full Description

New seismic codes have been developed and will eventually be adopted nationwide. They will have the greatest impact in areas of moderate seismic risk. Engineers, contractors, OEMs, and vendors in these areas may not be familiar with seismic requirements. This paper will help them become familiar with IBC 2000 as it relates to HVAC equipment, pipes, and ducts. Included are several tables giving suggested capacities for post-installed wedge anchors, sway brace cautions, and housekeeping pad anchoring suggestions.
