Full Description

Notes the absence of a standard nomenclature for publications involving mass transfer. Because there are six possible driving potentials and six associated mass transfer coefficients it is difficult to read such publications. Proposes a standard nomenclature for definition of the six different forms of the driving potential and the mass transfer coefficient. In addition proposes a definition for the Lewis number which is supported by the majority of the 23 books surveyed.
