States that effective defrosting of plate heat exchangers ensures that the reduction in energy savings caused by frosting will be relatively marginal. Presents calculated frosting limits together with the quantities of condensate precipitated out under various air conditions. Discusses alternative methods of defrosting plate heat exchangers.
