This paper discusses the steps taken by the Engineering Department of the Arizona Nuclear Power Project (ANPP) to identify and resolve the migration noble gases within the auxiliary buildings of Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station (PVNGS).
As a result of HVAC design evaluation, tracer gas testing, and computer model analysis, areas of the buildings with potential for noble gas migration were identified. On the basis of these identifications, retrofit work is proceeding to reduce or eliminate noble gas migration.
