Full Description

Ventilation rates were first quantified in the mid1800s in England. Since then many have weighed in on proper ventilation rates. ASHVE, ASHRAE's predecessor, wrote a guide in 1922 that included recommendations for ventilation. ASHRAE has played a key role in ventilation standards over the years with Standard 62.
