At the request of a consortium headed by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers, ORTECH undertook an investigation of the dynamic latent heat storage effects on building construction and furnishing materials to assess the impact of this on electrical energy that is required to remove the absorbed moisture via air conditioning.
