Full Description

This column discusses a method of accessing the performance of vertical ground heat exchangers from field tests. Test data is the same information collected to determine soil/rock thermal properties as prescribed in Chapter 32 of the 2007 ASHRAE HandbookâHVAC Applications. Tests are a relatively low cost alternative to large, uncertain expenditures for entire loop fields.
