The development of computers has made the accurate analysis of complex system performance by simulation available to most of the research community. However, a simulation approach requires a strong investment in the modelling of system behaviour. Deals with a basic contribution to domestic hot water, gas, or fuel oil boiler models, usable for large-scale simulation involving buildings and HVAC. This model evolved from a task at International Energy Agency Annex 10 (NF-D 30-001,1984) and is now being developed for a large-scale analysis in an experimental building at Gaz de France, Paris.
