The corrosion of three wrought aluminum alloys (1100,3003, and 6061) and a high-silicon aluminum casting alloy in dichlorodifluoromethane (Freon-12) and monochlorodifluoromethane (Freon-22), in paraffinic and naphthenic oils, with and without the presence of air and/or water contamination has been studied.
