Full Description

In this paper a new model is presented for predicting the critical pressure of a refrigerant flow through an adiabatic capillary tube. Experimental capillary tube exit pressures, obtained in a vapor compression loop operated with RI2, R22, and RII4, were used to determine the analytical coefficients. Furthermore, the results are being applied to nonazeotropic refrigerant mixtures to evaluate a possible extension of the developed model to other working fluids.
