Full Description

The development of an improved model to predict the refrigerant flow characteristics in capillary tubes for vapor compression systems is presented and discussed. The basic laws of this model were established from the conservation equations: mass balance, momentum and energy balances, as well as the equation of state. Numerical results revealed that this model compared well with existing experimental data as well as other analytical models.
