Micro-combined heat and power (micro-CHP) systems generate electricity for residential or small-commercial buildings at the point of use. Overall efficiencies approaching 90% can be achieved by utilizing the systemâs waste heat for hot water or space heating, which results in significant primary energy and carbon savings when compared to electricity generated at large, central power plants. This second of two seminars presents performance data from an installed system and two modeling case studies.
