This article focuses on the use of UVGI in air handlers by using Ultraviolet C (UVC) radiation to inactivate microorganisms. The author discusses how UVC is used, how the benefits associated with it are achieved, and what evidence exists to document those benefits. Also discussed are safety concerns and cost savings that can be achieved through the use of UVGI.
